DIVERGENCE
OUT 13.11.2026
New 4-track mini album featuring all-new material! Available on coloured vinyl, CD and digital. Closely connected to Fimbulvinter and the live mini album Lifandi, released earlier this year, Divergence completes a deeply personal trilogy and journey. Bjørn’s unmistakable sound, evocative lyrics and signature guitar playing remain at the heart of it all — while pointing towards a new musical direction.
ABOUT
Bjørn Riis stands as one of Norway’s most acclaimed and prolific voices in progressive rock. A songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, he’s risen from the underground of obscure cover bands to global recognition—both as a founding member of Airbag and as a compelling solo artist.
For nearly two decades, Airbag and Riis have headlined sold-out shows, shared stages with genre heavyweights like Marillion, Yes, Saga, Neil Morse, and Riverside, and appeared at major festivals including Night of the Prog and Cruise to the Edge.
After cementing Airbag as a force to be reckoned with, Riis turned inward, exploring his musical roots on his 2014 solo debut Lullabies in a Car Crash. The album marked a breakthrough—both commercially and creatively—igniting a solo career that continues to expand in scope and ambition.
